Do you ever feel as if no one understands you? You are living in a world that doesn't include you? Lost? Ashamed? Shy? You just don't get people? No one is listening? Well, you have found a place to remain anonymous and let your feelings be known!
I have found myself over the years feeling like "The Invisible Liberal." Even when times were good for us, for example the past election, I always got the feeling that no one was hearing me. Now, FORGET IT. I am a lost sheep. I have lost the flock. People are drinking Kool Aide that I have never tasted. I often find myself angry, unable to express myself, for fear of some sort of tongue lashing or retaliation.
So I will begin my venting with no apologies.
Papa Don't Preach
I live in one of the most Republican/Evangelical places in the country. I simply turn a corner and see dozens of bumper stickers that are absolutely foreign to me. I think it is great if you have found your God, but don't advertize it on your car! That is personal business. I don't want to see two children weeping over a cross while I am driving behind you! I don't care if you think you have "Soul Armor." I find all of this a sick attempt at gaining superiority.
Newsflash, you are NOT superior, because you are Christian. Why do you think you are? You believe a story that has been told to you, but never proven? A story where people part seas, and start an entire world in 7 days! You probably believe in the Easter Bunny, too! Now you are saying that there is no such thing as evolution! I once had a friend say, "you only have bones -- bones, that's all" as proof of evolution. OK, we have bones and you have Adam's rib!
I could go on, and I will another day....feel free to say what you want....spelling doesn't count.....scream, shout, let it out. You won't be judged here -- no one has a clue who you are!
